Fraud Strategy Analyst

Based in Cardiff or Milton Keynes you will conduct analysis of Fraud data to strengthen redefine our strategy. This is a pivotal role where you will work closely with the team and stakeholders across the business in striving to minimise negative impacts to our customers.

Role Responsibility

  • Monitor fraud losses, establish root cause and take corrective action
  • Build, implement and monitor new fraud tools and strategies whilst minimizing customer impact
  • Ensure metrics and controls are fit for purpose in terms of the current fraud environment and emerging threats
  • Conduct advanced analytics on fraud losses
  • Detect system gaps in fraud detection and prevention

The Ideal Candidate

  • Fraud and Financial Crime experience within financial services
  • Industry knowledge, specifically relating to credit cards
  • Numerical degree (desirable)
  • Regulatory knowledge
  • Experience using SQL, SAS and R
  • Proven ability to translate analytics insights into effective strategy
  • A strong commercial acumen
  • Self-starter attitude with good organisational skills
  • Technical background with ability to pick up new systems rapidly and regularly
