Based in Cardiff, London or Milton Keynes, the Tax Manager is responsible for all tax compliance with Group and statutory obligations in European countries where the Group has a presence. To provide primary point of contact between Finance Controllership function, European operational finance entities and external advisors. To provide pro-active tax planning input into kgb Group.

The Tax Manager will partner with the operational finance team to support the operations of the business.  They will manage the tax compliance lifecycle across all European jurisdictions the business has operations in, provide tax and financial guidance to the business and interact with the global Finance team in tax compliance and planning. They will work closely with teams globally to provide accurate, timely, and high quality analysis.

The ideal candidate will have a strong financial background in Tax, preferably with a multinational organisation, with advanced analytical skills and experience partnering with senior management.

Role Responsibility

What will you be doing?


  • Responsible for assisting with the preparation of group Transfer pricing studies and ensuring intra-group trading agreements are in place
  • Responsible for co-ordinating tax compliance for all European subsidiaries
  • Group relief and group tax planning with Group tax team
  • Liaising with external auditors and HMRC
  • VAT Planning and compliance supervision
  • Preparation of PAYE Settlement agreement
  • Support the Finance Controller group with the preparation of group tax figures including the statutory statements for company and group, and monthly reporting to the US Group
  • Providing help and guidance to Payroll ensuring PAYE compliance
  • Supporting various financing and restructuring initiatives
  • Highlighting risks and opportunities within the group

The Ideal Candidate

What you’ll need:


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Problem solving skills
  • Highly numerate and analytical
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
  • Relevant taxation qualification
  • Experience of working with or in a multinational organisation
  • Strong commercial acumen and a proven customer-led approach
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Self starter / self motivated, capable of staying on track and pursuing solutions without supervision.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with senior management is essential.
